\u2018Ask for Ellen\u2019 launches to supply free crumpets this summer<\/em><\/p>\n

The varsity holidays might be daunting for fogeys. It\u2019s a time of great fun, quality time with the youngsters and amazing memories. But all of this may feel overshadowed by the fee of living continuing to bite.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Being away from school means free school meals are placed on pause and costs can stack up for fogeys. Food, energy and entertainment costs for six long weeks can put a strain on our wallets. Previously, Morrisons partnered with Heinz for the campaign \u2018Ask for Henry\u2019, where people could get a free meal of a jacket potato and beans. Now, Warburtons has partnered with the supermarket giant to launch \u2018Ask for Ellen\u2019, to provide support to families throughout the college break.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask for Ellen<\/h3>\n

Simply \u2018Ask for Ellen\u2019 at any Morrisons caf\u00e9 and you’ll receive a portion of two standard crumpets, with butter and jam without cost. No questions asked, just delicious food for you and the youngsters. The initiative is known as after founder Ellen Warburton, who established the brand in 1876.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask for Ellen runs from Oct 23 to Nov 5 and shall be available to everyone, all day, day-after-day. <\/span>T&Cs apply.<\/span><\/a> Morrisons may also proceed to destroy its Kids Eat Free initiative in its cafes, where little ones can receive a free meal with the acquisition of an adult most important value \u00a34.49 or more.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Warburtons Foundation<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Recent research by The Warburtons Foundation found that a staggering 64% of oldsters are anxious in regards to the increased costs of their child being at home for the summer. The survey of 1,000 parents of school-aged children also found that folks think the college holidays will cost them almost \u00a3200 extra over the six weeks, because of childcare and family activities. Seventy-one per cent of respondents said they’re preparing themselves to purchase more snacks than normal to plan for day trips and activities to maintain children ate up the go.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The research also revealed the added financial pressure facing families as schools break up for the summer. When questioned in regards to the typical six-week break, 58% of oldsters suggested they may must contend with additional childcare costs as they juggle work and their kids.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
