Since then, Musk has reduced X\u2019s moderation capability by <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2023\/04\/12\/tech\/elon-musk-bbc-interview-twitter-intl-hnk\/index.html#:~:text=Musk%20was%20quoted%20as%20saying,80%25%20of%20the%20company's%20staff.\" style=\"color:#0563c1\">eliminating 80% of the corporate\u2019s staff<\/a>, softened its policy stances on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialmediatoday.com\/news\/How-Twitter-Has-Changed-Under-Elon-Musk\/639041\/\" style=\"color:#0563c1\">misinformation and hate speech<\/a>, and allowed many previously banned users <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialmediatoday.com\/news\/Elon-Musk-Reinstates-Trumps-Twitter-Account\/637005\/\" style=\"color:#0563c1\">back on the app<\/a> under what he\u2019s called an \u2018amnesty\u2019.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>Musk\u2019s original plan was to cut back X\u2019s reliance on ad revenue by making a much bigger push on subscriptions, which might then enable him to reshape the platform\u2019s rules nevertheless he liked, as he would now not be beholden to ad partners\u2019 concerns. But that hasn\u2019t worked out, with <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/travisbrown\/blue\/pull\/13\" style=\"color:#0563c1\">lower than 0.5% of X users signing on to X Premium<\/a> (formerly Twitter Blue), despite X continually attempting to push users towards its verification offering.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>That signifies that X is indeed still reliant on ad spend, which is why it\u2019s now looking to boost its appeal to brand partners, and ensure they continue to be on board with its plan.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>Because in the event that they don\u2019t, X won\u2019t survive. whims.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>It looks like an unenviable position, but to date, Yaccarino has been towing the corporate line, as she continues to re-state her support for Musk\u2019s \u201cprovocative\u201d leadership style. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span>The Client Council could find yourself being a wake-up call for Yaccarino on this respect, especially if the participants don\u2019t buy what X is selling, by way of its stated brand safety benchmarks and achievements. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span>Essentially, no one believes the claim that <\/span><span><span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sprinklr.com\/blog\/identify-toxic-content-with-leading-analytical-ai\/\" style=\"color:#0563c1\">99.99% of all Tweet impressions are actually going to content that doesn\u2019t violate the platform\u2019s rules<\/a>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>I think this, and various other dubious stats, will come under more
