The college holidays might be daunting for folks. It\u2019s a time of great fun, quality time with the youngsters and amazing memories. But all of this could feel overshadowed by the price of living continuing to bite.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Being away from school means free school meals are placed on pause and costs can stack up for folks. Food, energy and entertainment costs for six long weeks can put a strain on our wallets. Previously, Morrisons partnered with Heinz for the campaign \u2018Ask for Henry\u2019, where people could get a free meal of a jacket potato and beans. Now, Warburtons has partnered with the supermarket giant to launch \u2018Ask for Ellen\u2019, to provide support to families throughout the college break.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask for Ellen<\/h3>\n

Simply \u2018Ask for Ellen\u2019 at any Morrisons\u2019 caf\u00e9 and you’ll receive a\u00a0portion of two\u00a0standard crumpets, with butter and jam\u00a0totally free. No questions asked, just delicious food for you and the youngsters. The initiative is known as after founder Ellen Warburton, who established the brand in 1876.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask for Ellen runs from\u00a0seventeenth\u00a0July to thirteenth\u00a0August and will likely be available to\u00a0everyone, all day, on daily basis.\u00a0<\/span>T&Cs apply.<\/span><\/a> Morrisons can even proceed to damage its Kids Eat Free initiative in its cafes, where little ones can receive a free meal with the acquisition of an adult most important, value \u00a34.49 or more.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Warburtons Foundation<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Latest research by The Warburtons Foundation, found that a staggering 64% of fogeys are apprehensive in regards to the increased costs of their child being at home for the summer. The survey of 1,000 parents of school-aged children, also found that oldsters think the college holidays will cost them almost \u00a3200 extra over the six-week break, attributable to childcare and family activities. 71% of respondents said they\u00a0are preparing themselves to purchase more snacks than normal to plan for day trips and activities to maintain children ate up the go.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The research also revealed the added financial pressure facing families as schools break up for the summer \u2013 when questioned in regards to the typical six-week\u00a0break, 58% of fogeys suggested they’ll need to contend with additional childcare costs as they juggle work and their kids.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
