Meet Leslie Bowman
Originally from Albuquerque, Latest Mexico, Leslie Bowman has hopped across the country since graduating from undergrad. She focused on English and Latin American History in college and eventually attended graduate school in Latest York City. There, she developed a passion for brief, persuasive arguments. Bowman found a love of copywriting and is now a Senior Copywriter at Nexcess.
Why did you join Liquid Web?
They offered me a job! And it definitely sounded up my alley. I like the technique of knowing little or no after which expanding that knowledge. The interview experience was also very positive. My now teammates were genuinely pleased to be doing what they were doing.
What draws you to the hosting industry as a profession?
It appears to be a significant, evergreen need. And as we move into recent digital worlds, I believe it should really be a spot of innovation.
Is there something specific about Liquid Web you only love?
Not going to lie, working remotely is the best. It seems like an enormous upgrade.
What’s your favorite part concerning the company culture at Liquid Web?
I like seeing collaboration across the Family of Brands and meeting recent individuals with recent perspectives. Liquid Web is large enough to satisfy people you’ve never met before but sufficiently small to recollect those people as you proceed your profession.
In your eyes, what’s the difference between Liquid Web and other employers?
At Liquid Web, there’s flexibility and ongoing improvement. If something’s not working for you, or you think that something might be higher, you could have a support system to make it occur.
What’s the largest milestone you’ve completed?
We recently got the primary phase of the Nexcess rebrand out the door and a brand new navigation menu. Copy-wise, that was an enormous milestone.
What are you known for at Liquid Web? What do people specifically come to you for?
I’m le detective. Or, that’s what I believe I’m. I solve mysteries and take a look at to locate essentially the most accurate answer.
What’s one thing you would like our customers knew about their hosting?
It’s powered by plenty of really excellent humans, at every level. I believe what’s lacking in Amazon and Google’s race to overcome the Web is that human element. The whole lot concerning the Web has been built, maintained, and shaped by human ideas and technology. Businesses are run by people, not Google servers, you understand? That’s what makes the difference in my eyes.
What’s your favorite TV show?
The Leftovers or Buffy. Or Deadwood. Also Lost.
What’s your favorite app?
Twitter, but that might not be true by the point that is published.
Should you could have dinner with one superstar [dead or alive], who would it not be?
Maya Angelou or perhaps Louis the XIV.
