Meet John Regino
John Regino has at all times had an interest in technology. After initially going to highschool for nursing, Regino was employed by LUV Airline for eight years when he felt he needed a tougher role that fulfilled his passion for technology. Because of this, he was hired by the Rackspace email team in 2010, where he leveraged his service skills and located a passion for leadership.
Born, raised, and currently residing in San Antonio, Texas, he owns five cats (Terry, Spaghetti, Mongie, Garbagio, and Jacks), a dog, and is father to a daughter, Mea Lynn. John joined Liquid Web in October of 2021 as a Support Supervisor.
Why did you join Liquid Web?
On the time, I had accomplished two years as an Operations Manager with a BPO company. I loved the corporate and team I worked for but was unfulfilled in my role. As an Operations Manager, I used to be answerable for managing the operations side and didn’t have much time to have interaction with the support teams. Then, a chance presented itself to hitch the Liquid Web family and work again with considered one of my mentors, Terry Dolliver. The corporate’s core values align with mine, and this was my way back into the tech industry.
What draws you to the hosting industry as a profession?
I’m an issue solver at heart. My passion for technology and problem-solving is fulfilled within the hosting industry.
Is there something specific about Liquid Web you simply love?
The support teams at Liquid Web are passionate and hard-working. As every day passes, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to get to know more members of the incredible support teams.
What’s your favorite part concerning the company culture at Liquid Web?
My favorite a part of the corporate’s culture is to have a good time and never take ourselves too seriously. I host weekly trivia with our third shift support teams. Winners get sent a prize that aligns with the trivia topic.
In your eyes, what’s the difference between Liquid Web and other employers?
We’re empowered to be creative and make decisions. But, most of all, we’re encouraged to not be afraid to make mistakes.
What’s the most important milestone you’ve achieved?
In my first yr with the corporate, considered one of my most vital milestones was contributing to the creation of an interesting environment for our third shift support team.
Tell us about a tremendous customer experience you’ve gotten had at Liquid Web.
One company I actually have a chance to have interaction with each day is Topps, a trading card company. I grew up collecting their baseball cards, so I feel honored to work with them to handle their issues and assist in resolving anything that comes up.
What are you known for at Liquid Web? What do people specifically come to you for?
I’m very approachable. Techs reach out to me for various reasons- password resets, time adjustments, customer escalations, and hand-off issues, to call a couple of. After all, some things will not be in my wheelhouse, but I at all times do my best to point them in the appropriate direction.
What’s one thing you would like our customers knew about their hosting?
We have now among the most passionate and talented individuals handling customer issues with great care.
What’s your nickname at Liquid Web and why?
Most individuals address me by my last name, Regino. My nickname as a child was Bud, after John Travolta’s character within the movie Urban Cowboy.
Work aside, what are a few of your hobbies?
I’m a collector of all things. From motion figures to Funko pops, artwork (most music-related), and Hot Wheels, to call a couple of. I’m also a builder of Legos. I actually have over 50 Lego sets, and I’m still counting. I hope to be a Lego master builder in the future.
What’s your favorite TV show?
This one is a bit hard as I actually have a couple of favorites. The one show I actually have watched probably the most and still proceed to look at is “The Office.”
What’s your favorite app?
The app I find myself on probably the most is TikTok. I really like that the algorithm feeds your likes, and I really like the creativity of lots of the creators.
In case you could have dinner with one superstar [dead or alive], who wouldn’t it be?
This one is straightforward. Keanu Reeves. Outside of being an achieved actor, he embodies great qualities. Despite all of the loss he has experienced through the years, he stays humble and type. The actual query could be what to speak about….
